Tomorrow I step to the line of the most challenging athletic event of my life so far and it is not without giving all thanks and praise to God for getting my husband and I here safely, healthy, and with provision. As I swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles I will trust God’s grace, strength, and peace be with me. I believe that nothing is impossible with the strength of the Lord.
Hebrews 12:11-13
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Isaiah 41:10
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
