Keep Doing The Work.

There will always be times in life where we ask ourselves…Is this worth it? Where is my break? Why is it not working out for me? Am I getting better, smarter, faster, thinner, etc. etc. etc.?

It is most important that in these times we keep doing the work. The “work” maybe going out for those training runs, rides, or swims. It may be sticking to the nutrition plan even though you and everyone else around you is saying, “one won’t hurt you.” It may be saying your affirmations diligently and with feeling over and over and over and over again. It may be putting forth that prayer, just once, and then focusing your thoughts on faith rather than fear. It may be practicing forgiveness, self or others (to be completely honest not forgiving only really hurts you).

So in other words, we can’t pray just once, do one workout, occasionally yoga, go to the gym, swim, run, or bike, do one affirmation, challenge one negative thought or behavior, eat healthy for one, day, week, or month, and think we are entitled to some benefits. No. No. No. On the contrary doing the work means that sometimes in life we just gotta keep moving, just gotta keep “doing”, just gotta keep “being” until the day we notice we have stopped asking when, where, or why.

If we keep doing the work, keep believing, keep aspiring, keep pushing towards greater heights I believe a shift will occur, and that “shift” will be your gift, your testimony, your reward, your secret, your inspiration that will show you that if you keep doing the work everything else will fall into place. All is well. All is good.

Keep reaching for YOUR peak!

  1. and thank you from the bottom of my heart for “love you for who you are.” Only very very very few people in my life have said that to me.

  2. Sonia you brought tears to me. I wrote this because it is something that I needed too. Thank you for reading, sharing, and connecting. I love you girl and thank you for reminding me that near or far love, support, and positivity knows no boundaries. I do believe that where we are in life is where we need to be for some greater reason and purpose. God is doing his work in us with us. Where two or more agree in His name so it shall be done…DONE:)

  3. I forgot to say that it brought me to tears and really touched me and reminded me that I must not give up and instead keep pressing on. God used you to remind me that I must continue to reach and all will fall in place. Thanks girl.

  4. I was so touched by this for I have been dealing with some personal and emotional issues. This reminded me that even mentally and emotionally must keep being, keep living, and keep questioning. Doing that internal work is key to all success I believe. I needed to hear that all is good, all will be well as you said so well if we just keep doing the work……whatever that may be…..the key is to not give up. Keep REACHING we must continue to do. Thanks mija. God Bless you and love you for who you are.
