Theme Song for 2022

Hey beautiful people,

Happy New Year’s Eve!!! I hope this post finds you healthy, safe, and well. I know it has been a tough couple of years. We are all trying to adjust to life curves balls as they come at us. I know you are doing the best you can from where you are.

So…how have you been? How are you in this moment? While there is a tendency to look back at the past and/or look ahead to planning for the future, try to tune into this moment. Honor what is surfacing- any thoughts, feelings, actions and physical sensations. Try to observe them as something you are experiencing versus who you are. Tune into the perspective that no matter where life is at this moment, or what you are experiencing-everything is temporary. There is a gift in this perspective- tough times, feelings, or sensations do not last forever. Likewise, joyful, happy, or “good” moments do not last forever…so savor this moment!

As we roll into the New Year let’s remember that our “power is always in the present moment.” Goals are great if you can tune into the present moment, and trust your intuition to guide the next step that you have laid out. Goals are, hopefully, grounded in the foundation your values (not society, or your partners, or boss, etc.) So if you build on a foundation of your values then your intuition/gut/Spirit/inner guidance will never lead you wrong.

Oh, and on that goals tip…I’m all for writing out goals-that are meaningful, specific, intentional, and action oriented. I believe in always having a game plan or blueprint for where you want to go.. I am a Capricorn, in case you didn’t know 😉  Any destination needs a roadmap.

As I get older (just had a birthday..heeeeeyyyyyyy 42!), wiser, and more experienced. I intend to live fully in the present and tap into joy/peace/goodness that is available to me. I learned that it’s okay to shine and celebrate whom you are! It’s okay to not be liked or have likes…lol.. as long as you are at peace with you! I learned to let go of allowing ridged goals or being driven to achieve dictate my life. Thankfully I don’t need that validation anymore to feel worthy!

With that said, anyone that knows me knows I love music! Growing up music is and has always been my therapy, my church, my comfort, and my motivator. I almost always have a song in my head, and I will happily bust out my phone, at any moment, open YouTube search for song to jam out or share. Music has a way of making the moment and vibe better INSTANTLY! It’s going to be my go-to approach for plugging into the present moment and tapping into high vibes.

So what better then to have a theme song for 2022!!!

A song that you can pop on at any moment and feel like a badass!

A song that will tune you into the moment and remind you of the joy that is possible.

A song that will shift your vibe when you are in a funk.

A song that can play in your head as you walk into a room, meeting, or party and feel like a BOSS!

My theme song for 2022 is….drum roll…..

AMAZING by Mary J. Blige featuring DJ Khaled.

MJB is my all-time favorite artist! I grew up listening to her music and these lyrics are everything I will embody in 2022!

I hope you enjoy the power of music and make it apart of your 2022 mindset!

Much love and peace,

Dr. P

“Amazing” Lyrics:

We the best music (another one)
All hail to the queen, Mary J. Blige (Mary J. Blige)

It’s so hard to fake when everything I do is real
Money and a doggie bag, I ain’t missin’ no meals
Don’t move on me wrong, I need to save my energy
Everybody family leave it to the industry
Cut out all of that noise, we ain’t talkin’ that way
We ain’t movin’ like that, no way, no way
Cut out all that noise, only positive vibes
I don’t it pay no mind, I don’t pay it no mind (No mind)

Every day like my birthday, bring the cake in
Bring the cake in, bring the cake in
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Man, I feel amazing, man, I feel amazing
Every day celebrate, not just on occasion
On occasion, not just on occasion
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Feel amazing, man, I feel amazing

My crib is so big I tell the guests to use a map
He wanna play house, I ask him, “Where’s the fun in that?” (Let’s go)
Seein’ all these blessings, man, I think I pray too much
Lately, I been feeling like I turn up way too much

Where the drink? Where the drink? Sun got us all day
Raise the glasses up, party, party
Man, it’s really goin’ down
Make your way to the crowd
Right now, right now
Right now, right now

I feel too wavy, you can’t save me
I meditate on the daily, to keep sane
I mean I’m goin’ out my mind, I’m goin’ crazy
I think it might be my season, I’m elevated, aye

Every day like my birthday, bring the cake in
Bring the cake in, bring the cake in
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Man, I feel amazing, man, I feel amazing
Every day celebrate, not just on occasion
On occasion, not just on occasion
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Feel amazing, man, I feel amazing

Pick up everybody in the dance right now
If you feelin’ amazin’ like we feelin’ amazing right now
Put your lighters up
Lights up, lighters up, let’s go

Every day like my birthday, bring the cake in
Bring the cake in, bring the cake in
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Man, I feel amazing, man, I feel amazing
Every day celebrate, not just on occasion
On occasion, not just on occasion
I feel good, I feel great, man, I feel amazing
Feel amazing, man, I feel amazing (Mary J. Blige)
